La Ceja, June 14th /2009
Issue: Recommendations and petitions about the safety on the streets.
Honorable major, Ruben Dario Bedoya, I´m a habitant of La Ceja´s town and my occupation is student. The present letter is about the safety, which is one of the issues that affects the communities in La Ceja; the people often complain of the theft of cell phones, bikes, cars, and others.
I understand that the economic situation is each time something worrying, also the last year La Ceja was very affected whit the down price of currency, due to this, some factories and crops had to close and downsizing left unemployed people, it raised insecurity on the streets, then the people looking for in the theft, one of the exits for their economic problems.
I think that the people should be required to stay on street at midnight while the situation can be controlled for the police. The other hand the people ought to required to leave their motorcycles and cars in front of their houses or sidewalks as measures of precaution.
Mr. Ruben, the street crime is a common issue in this moment, isn´t it? , I knew that his intention is to work for the culture and safety of the town, then I guess that a good idea for it would be to put more places of police information, as a in the neighborhoods for to improve the safety of them.

I am housewife and I think that ¨ aguas de Rionegro¨ ought to required to buy little river basins to provide fresh water to Rionegro. Many people have complained about that. The water arrives to homes dirty and turbid. People spend water and timé when they wash clothes in their washing machine, besides when people take a shower, they hope clean water.
I think too that employees must be required to inspect the aqueducts in Rionegro.
Definitely something has got to be done to stop the sewage in Rionegro

ISSUE:homeless in la ceja
major Ruben Dario Bedoya i live in la ceja and i think that a big problem are the homeless becouse first they dont have house so they are just in the streets second they are hungry so all day they are just asking people for money so thats not good for la ceja.
and a lot of the homeless are kids so they start just asking for money in the streets but also they go out with bad people and they start to do a lot of crimes like steal people o sale drugs well they become bad people.
i think that a good idea is to have more houses of help to give people foot and a place to sleep.

Topic or issue: About the complicated traffic in the city of Medellin.
Mr. Alonso Salazar, mayor of Medellin, my name is Ana Maria; I'm a citizen resident in the city of Medellin.
The following letter is to inform you of my concern about certain problems that exist in city streets; one of them calls me a lot of attention is the high traffic observed daily. As a result it is more obvious pollution to the environment and the large number of accidents occurs frequently. I understand that people increasingly seek comfort whether for transportation to their jobs, schools, universities, etc., but we must be aware of the evil that we are causing.
The most worrying is that the high traffic flow, in different locations is more complicated and slower growing mobility of citizens and this makes people feel stress and altered for any reason. Besides the danger is greater the tendency to accidents and crashes that end up with the lives of people daily, does not it?
Lord Mayor, I think that one way to control this problem is through more effective regulation of the peak and plaque that now exists, with greater attention to the traffic police, and if it is possible to implement this measure in automotive service public like autobuses, which are the main pollutants.
I hope my concerns can be heard, I would appreciate much for a better vehicular behavior. Thank you for your attention.

the reason why i write to you it's because i think that rionegro needs more green spaces and trees around the town.
this thing could help us to have more beautiful town and breath better.
you could start using the free spaces and using them to create natural parks.
I think it's not a expensive idea and it's possible to do it.
you can be sure tjat every body in rionegro will be happy with this and we will enjoy to live in a wonderful place!.

I live in Rionegro but I think that the municipality needs solutions by the next problems:
1. The people in urban area is being affected by air pollution.
2. The health of many people in Rionegro is being threatened by contaminated water.
3. Rionegro´s like is very dirty and sometimes to bad smells spel, due to the garbage that deposit in it.
4. How often some streets are flooded because of poor drainage that have these.
5. Rionegro is running out in the parks or green areas due to new contructions.
I hope they can find inmediate solutions for these problems.

I write this letter because we have a lot problems that affect our city, the specific examples are:
.we need more parking Spaces.
.The water is very dirty
.We need more green places like parks for take care the environment.
.In some places the streets should be wider.
.We need more cinemas for go out with our families.
but I think the main problem is the handling of garbage in our city, because the damage of the environment is something that affects us all especially the community of the future, for example management of organic wastes.
I think we put more emphasis on recycling in the student community can be a factor that helps improve situcion.
